Usability Test Facilitation: Lessons from the Trenches with Carolyn Snyder
from Usability Professionals Association - Boston Chapter (UPA Boston)
This event has passed.
Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 6:00pm - 8:15pm
A good usability test facilitator can make quick decisions in unusual (and sometimes stressful) situations. But this ability doesn't magically happen overnight. It can take years of experience - including plenty of mistakes - to evolve not only your judgment but also the confidence to exercise it. Carolyn will begin with a brief presentation to share some guidelines and tips for test facilitation. Then we'll divide into groups to discuss "What would you do?" case studies of real-world situations. Use the prepared examples or bring your own. Whether you're new to facilitating or have done it for decades, you'll enjoy the lively discussions. At the end, we'll reconvene and each group will share the most surprising or controversial thing they've learned. The results will be collated and made available on the UPA Boston web site.
