This luncheon roundtable will cover the basics of the law of negligence and premises liability. These personal injury matters present unique liability challenges. Whether you are representing plaintiffs or property owners, you need to know "the lay of the land".
Specific topics will include:
- Ice and snow claims, including notice requirements;
- Public way claims (or not);
- Liability issues, such as constructive notice;
- Business owner's liability under the SJC's Sheehan v. Roche Bros., Inc. 2007 decision;
- Massachusetts Tort Claims Act implications; and
- Practice tips and war stories.
