5th Annual MIT Sloan Private Equity Symposium
from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
This event has passed.
Friday, April 4, 2008, 8:00am - 5:00pm

The theme for this year's event, "A New Dawn: Opportunities for Tomorrow and Beyond", explores the current evolution of the private equity industry driven by the increasing globalization of investment opportunities, investor pressure for higher rates of capital deployment and the recent restrictions to liquidity and credit access.

Last year's symposium attracted over 350 leading private equity professionals, limited partner investors and industry executives, as well as distinguished MIT professors and student leaders from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

This year's symposium will include nine panel discussions, which will provide an engaging and interactive forum for senior industry professionals to share their views on highly relevant topics such as:

- Asset Allocation in Changing Times: The LP Perspective
- Distressed Investing and Turnarounds
- Emerging Markets Private Equity Outlook
- European Private Equity Landscape
- Growth Equity Investments
- Opportunities in the Middle Market
- Portfolio Value Creation by Improving Businesses
- The Future of the LBO
- The Role of the Public Markets for Private Equity and Hedge Funds
