Electronic Evidence - Everything You Want to Know, But Are Afraid to Ask Luncheon Roundtable
from Massachusetts Bar Association
This event has passed.
Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 12:30pm - 2:00pm

With the advent of computers, e-mail, cell phones and other forms of technology, e-discovery is an issue facing attorneys across the commonwealth. It is almost certain that all genres of litigation will involve some form of e-discovery, and the federal rules applying to this evolving area of civil litigation changed last year.

This luncheon roundtable will be led by leaders in the field: John Crawford Jr., New England practice leader, and Stephanie Giammarco, computer forensics practice leader for Boston-based BDO Consulting. Collectively, they have prepared an informative luncheon roundtable that will teach attendees about a number of major developments in e-discovery practice, procedure and related technologies.

Daniel K. Gelb, chair of the MBA's E-discovery Practice Group and associate at Gelb & Gelb LLP in Boston, will also join the panel. Newly established as a practice group of the Civil Litigation Section, the group aims to stay ahead of the curve on how technology affects litigation by addressing emerging issues in the field. Specific topics will include:

- Electronic evidence and discovery;
- Computer forensics;
- Case studies; and
- Available e-discovery resources.
