If you want to hear about the real world deployment of RFID and wireless technologies in the transportation industry including your own car, this is the session for you.
RFID is a well established technology in the transportation industry. RFID is how railroads track all of their equipment - the next time you are waiting for a train to pass notice those tags mounted on every railcar. Likewise, intermodal terminals are looking to improve the efficiencies of their facilities and RFID is the answer. Terminal operators such as APM Terminals are using the technology today and you will hear the exciting details.
New emerging wireless technologies are coming to your car. Applications such as electronic brake lights, built in electronic toll collection systems, automatic notification of roadside hazards- real-time traffic information customized to your location are on their way. What is platooning? Hear about curve speed assistance/roll-over warning or border clearance applications.
These are some of the topics to be discussed by our panel of subject matter experts who are planning, deploying, and using wireless technologies today.
